Solar is an electrical job.
A solar installation is not panels on a roof. It is an electrical installation that happens to be fed by the sun — and the part that decides whether it is safe, whether it lasts, and whether it actually saves you money is the wiring, the protection and the way it ties into your board.
That is the part a lot of solar sellers get wrong. We come at it from the other direction: we are a licensed electrical contractor first, working to SANS 10142 like we do on every other job, with our own board workshop behind us. The panels are the easy part.

How we size a system.
- We look at your billsTwelve months of readings tells us what you really use, and when. Sizing from a guess is how people end up disappointed.
- We look at your roofOrientation, pitch, shading and structure. Not every roof suits panels, and we will tell you if yours does not.
- We give you the honest numbersWhat it costs, what it saves, and roughly how long it takes to pay for itself. If solar is not worth it for you, we say so.
- We install and certify itInstalled, protected, tied into your board, tested and certified — and guaranteed for 24 months like everything else we do.

Common Questions
Things people ask us.
- Will solar cut my bill to nothing?Almost never, and anyone promising that is selling rather than advising. A well-sized system typically covers a large share of daytime use. We will show you the real numbers for your building before you commit.
- Do I need batteries?Only if you want power during an outage or after dark. Batteries are the most expensive part of a solar system, so it is worth being clear about whether you actually need them.
- What happens when the grid goes down?A plain grid-tied system switches off — that is a safety requirement, so it cannot feed power back into lines someone may be working on. If you want power through an outage you need a hybrid system or backup power.
- Who maintains it afterwards?We do. Solar needs very little, but panels need cleaning in a dusty country and connections are worth checking. We can fold it into a service contract.
